About us - Our Clients - News - Home
July 2008
We've had so many people contact us in the
past four years, looking for consultation
on how publicity can benefit their company,
yet not ready to commit to hiring a publicist.
Well we finally found a way to give those
that want to do it themselves a helping hand.
We created a set of recorded listings, as
well as a direct contact line, on the Ingenio
Business Services site. By accessing the
Black and Blue Media "Publicity 101"
recordings, you get an overview of what steps
to take in promoting your business, tips
for contacting the press and even some springboard
ideas to help you plan promotions of your
own. If you'd like to speak with us directly,
we have a consultation line in place through
Ingenio as well. To use our Ingenio services,
click on this link: Black and Blue Media on Ingenio.
In other news, our longtime friends Michael
and Q Ninn are working on a brand new project
- IMNINN.com. Jay and I are working on copy
and launch promotion plans for the brand
new suite of sites, and this promises to
be very different from anything you may have
seen from Michael before. Get ready for a
new way of looking at adult entertainment,
that suits Michael's love of imagery and
imagination to a "T".
June 2008

Black and Blue Media welcomes brand new VOD
company, MVideos.com, as our client! These guys are the greatest,
and they share the ethics that Jay and I
hold dear; honesty, integrity and a community
spirit. Tory and Sal,run MVideos as a family
business, and they offer real time reports
to all of the production companies that place
their product for sale through MVideos. Additionally,
MVideos has given us a chance to do something
different to promote their site...
Jay created a "spokestoon" named
Midnite Sally to turn the promotion of MVideos
into a fun and easily identifiable campaign.
Midnite Sally has her own blog, a YouTube news report and who knows where she may
end up next. We're looking at SuperDeluxe
for a continuing toon series.
April 2008
Jay and I have had the great fortune to
finally be able to try something we've
been
kicking around for a long time - creating
an alternate reality game! NW_SR's
'The Four'
was a perfect vehicle for this type
of stealth
marketing, and we kicked it off with
Craig's
list postings across the US, seeking
information
on a "missing necklace, a family
heirloom
circa 480BC".
We must say, it caused a much bigger stir
in the press than we had imagined. "Kronos480BC"
was featured in XBiz, Fleshbot and Technorati, as well as ARG news sites
ARGN.net and Despoiler.org. It turns out that we hold
the title for first ARG created for an adult
movie release. I don't think there's a Guiness
Record for that, but we're still proud of
the accomplishment!
February 2008
Wow! Time flies. 2007 brought us new clients A! Entertainment, Joy Hollywood Wholesale, The Generator, and the folks from Bondage Ball. Ninn Worx merged with Spearmint Rhino back
in August of 2007, and they are hard at work
on Ninn Worx/Spearmint Rhino's first major
feature The Four. AEE was stellar, and we have been very happy
with the press interest in 'The Four', as shown by this piece on AdultFYI. This looks like an incredible opportunity
for Black and Blue Media to do a lot of the
more interesting types of promotion for this
company and this movie. We're looking forward
to working with the Rhino's fully developed
creative wing to do all kinds of cool things.
Look out Comic-Con!
December 2006
Black and Blue Media is thrilled to announce
that we will be handling the publicity for
Ninn Worx, beginning with the AVN Adult Entertainment
Expo in January.
Working with Ninn Worx is a dream come true
for us, as Michael Ninn has in many ways
single-handedly changed the face of adult
video. Ninn's dynamic, inventive and creative
titles have taken our industry's production
standards up quite a few notches from where
it began with the Mitchell Brothers and Alex
DeRenzy shooting in borrowed apartments on
the sly. The beauty and etherial imagery
that Ninn Worx has become famous for, provides
a wonderful canvas for Black and Blue Media's
own art form: presentation of quality products
for the adult audience.
For galleries, Ninn Worx releases and a history
of the production house, and the visionary
man behind it, visit www.NinnWorx.com and

November 2006
This has been a busy month for Black and
Blue Media. . . . First we'd like to congratulate
our production and distribution company clients
on their AVN Award nominations; Platinum
Blue Productions and Distribution has received
6 nominations for their various titles, including
'Best Director - Video' and 'Best Videography'
for Airgazmic: The Capture, the sky diving
extravaganza directed and written by Skye
Blue. Additionally, the very well received
first offering from new production company
SLLAB received nods for seven awards. 'Frank
Castle's 'The New Neighbors', was nominated
for 'Best Video Feature', 'Best Director
- Video', 'Best Actress - Video' for Linda
Roberts, 'Best Actor - Video' for Mike Horner,
'Best Screenplay' and 'Best New Production
Company', among others.
"For a movie to get this kind of recognition,
it takes everyone working together and doing
their very best in every aspect of the production
and post production to make it stand out.
Black and Blue Media did exceptional publicity
work for The New Neighbors, and I am happy
to have them as part of my team. We're all
celebrating these seven nominations together,
because we all worked hard for them,"
said Best Director - Video Nominee, Frank
Castle.
The celebration of this great news came just
as we are moving into new office space in
Canoga Park, California and getting ready
to expand our client list. Frank Castle and
Linda Roberts of Marquis Productions is planning
to re-energize their company now that they
have AVN nominations to their credit and
Black and Blue Media is poised to add Marquis
to their client roster in early 2007.
Unfortunately, the office move was not planned
as far in advance as we would have liked.
Our contact information in the AVN ID Directory
and YellowPages.com is not up to date at
this time and it would be deeply appreciated
if you could email media@blackandblueusa.com
for the correct Black and Blue Media contact
information.
In other news... Effective on November 23rd,
SLLAB is planning to curtail production,
and we bid farewell to our friends, Ed and
Loring Ward. We wish them great success in
their future endeavors and know that all
of our excellent work on promoting the yet
released Trophy Wives four part vignette
series, Jennifer James Phantom of the Porn
Stage and Arch Angel's Vampire Chronicles
1 through 3 have set them on the path to
achieve their goals in moving these titles.
Good luck to Marc at CED on the new SLLAB
venture!
All our best,
Jay and Sherry

October 2006
Black and Blue Media takes on publicity for
Tony Batman of KSEX Radio. The host of 'I
Don't Think So Buddy', is a tremendous talent
and Black and Blue Media is pleased to joined
up with him to promote not only his very
popular KSEX show, but also to advance his
public appearances and industry connections,
including a continuing affiliation with XFanz,
to work as their "on the scene"
reporter for industry events nation wide.
We have a lot of ideas to further Tony's
career and it's a pleasure to work with someone
as talented and genuine as Batman.
Halloween night was the long delayed release
party of Frank Castle's The New Neighbors
at a special Porn Star Terroroake in Burbank,
California. Co-Sponsors of the party included
Adult News Media and MikeyandMandy.com. Hosts
for the evening were Tony Batman, Monica
Mayhem and Jasmine Byrne.
It was a great night, and thank you to all
of our friends in the adult and mainstream
industry for coming out and celebrating with
us!
June 2006
Black and Blue Media gears up to begin the
publicity and public relations campaign for
SLLAB's first gonzo series, to be helmed
by director Frank Castle. Castle's "MILF"
series will be releasing this summer, and
is the first of what SLLAB plans as a continuing
series of titles in this genre. Along with
this series, two other new productions in
the gonzo genre are in the works.
Shooting under the working title of 'Trophy
Wives', the first edition stars Chenin Blanc,
Daly O'Dare, Linda Roberts and Vanessa Vidal.
Supporting these lovely ladies are Shane
Collins, Jerry, Tommy Gunn, Marcus London,
Kyle Stone and Jack Venice. Filming takes
place on June 1 and 2 in the San Fernando
Valley area of California.
March 2006
Black and Blue Media signs with Best New
Production Company for 2005 AVN Awards nominee,
Platinum Blue. The agreement includes the
publicity contract for Platinum Blue Distribution
as well as Platinum Blue Productions. Platinum
Blue is a stellar company that is producing
some very exciting product for a wide range
of audiences. Skye Blue directs intensely
erotic features and vignette titles that
appeal to couples and women, while Platinum
Blue Distribution covers market segments
ranging from Pro-Am Miami Maidens - to full
bore gonzo - to niche' productions such as
Skye Blue's upcoming sky-diving themed fantasy
feature and Chuk Wow's Ladyboy Extreme series.
January 2006
Black and Blue Media coordinates the AEE
booth for SLLAB in support of Frank Castle's
The New Neighbors. This is the first industry
show that SLLAB has participated in. The
New Neighbors was a hit with the fans and
retailers attending AEE.
November 2005
Frank Castle's The New Neighbors begins production
with Black and Blue Media handling the publicity
duties.
The New Neighbors focuses on a typical suburban
family in a family oriented suburb that will
find themselves involved in a twisted tale
of depravity and debauchery.
SLLAB's first adult feature is taken from
an original mainstream script that Castle
had written, and will push the boundaries
on horror porn. Demons, depraved orgies,
exorcism, perversion and even a nun who does
gang bangs, are all involved in the sordid
story of how one quiet community responds
to an invasion by a subversive force of evil.
The New Neighbors stars Linda Roberts, Mike
Horner, Haley Paige and Jack Venice as the
all American Brody family. Nicki Hunter,
Randy Spears, Steven St. Croix and Tommy
Gunn menace as the arcane force that will
rip apart the tranquility of Cedar Lane.
The beautiful Tyla Wynn and Barbara Summer
take on intense multi-penetration roles as
the story hurtles to it's dramatic conclusion.
October 2005
Black and Blue Media is tapped to handle
publicity and public relations for production
company, SLLAB. The company's first shoot
is slated to begin in November 2004 when
Frank Castle directs an all HD, hard core
horror feature.
September 2005
Black and Blue Media prepares for the first
production by Jennifer James Films. Shooting
will begin on the first movie under the studio's
re-organization in mid-September. First up
is a re-telling of the romantic classic,
Phantom of the Opera. In this telling, the
Phantom was the victim of an evil porn producer
that coveted his leading lady, leading to
his scorching act of revenge.
Sweet, sensual Harmony takes the romantic
female lead. Steven St. Croix portrays the
tragic 'Phantom.' Blazing sex scenes scheduled
feature Nicky Hunter, Cody, Kristen Price
and Brooke Hunter. Rounding out the cast,
Don Hollywood enacts the wicked Manny Constantine,
while Kyle Stone and Hollywood generate heat
in other hardcore scenes.
In other news, Jay Moyes, the silent partner
in Black and Blue Media, makes the decision
to join Sherry as a full partner in the PR
firm.
August 2005
Jay and Sherry put Black and Blue Media to
work for themselves to produce Jay Moyes'
premier solo showing and benefit, Flames,
Floggers and Fangs held at Hollywood Studios
in North Hollywood. This exhibit and sale
of Moyes' dramatic pen and ink style will
premier his fantastic visions in fetish photography.
Show sponsors, Gwen Media, KSEXradio.com,
Team Tyler, SubCulture Array and Chopperhead
Magazine are instrumental in making this
event benefiting local alternative lifestyle/BDSM
organization, Threshold a success.
July 2005
Black and Blue Media is chosen as the publicist
for Jennifer James Films re-introduction
into the adult industry.
Jennifer James Films is a completely Hi-Definition
studio producing true Hi-Def movies for the
home and cable audience.
May 2005
Black and Blue Media signs on with Dru Berrymore
and ArchAngel Productions to handle publicity
for the continuing adult Gothic Romance series
The Vampire Chronicles. The project is scheduled
to shoot June 13 through June 17, 2005.
The Vampire Chronicles 1 goes back to a time
before the trilogy begins, and gives more
detail to the characters played by Shay Sights,
Jazmin, Nicki Hunter, Julie Night, Nick Manning,
and Steven St. Croix, who reprise their original
roles from The Vampire Chronicles: The Rebirth
of Nicolas Estaben.
To expand the universe of The Vampire Chronicles,
Penny Flame, Brooke Hunter and Mason Storm
will incarnate lusty female roles in the
turn of the century story line. New characters
portrayed by Herschal Savage, Kurt Lockwood
and Don Hollywood will build the suspense
along with the bloodlust.
Chapter three of The Vampire Chronicles introduces
Syren and Evan, along with many of the beloved
characters the audience met in The Vampire
Chronicles 2: The Death of Nicolas Estaben.
Is this the end of the saga? It could only
be the beginning. . . .
